A Christmas Treat
So Others Can Eat
Gingerbread House of Welcome
St Mary's House of Welcome is excited to be partnering with two iconic Melbourne institutions, Brunetti Classico and Chocolatier Australia. We will be bringing delicious gingerbread houses and DIY kits and decadent European style chocolates to our community this holiday season, with all proceeds going towards our Welcome Relief Meals Program.
Our Premium DIY Gingerbread House of Welcome Kits are handmade in Melbourne with everything you need to build and design your own edible gingerbread house. Perfect for adding a creative twist to your festivities, our gingerbread kits are a great choice for any seasonal celebration, whether it’s with family, friends or colleagues.
When you choose to buy either a gingerbread kit or a fully assembled house, or any of our other festive treats, you're not just indulging in holiday delight – you're also making a meaningful impact on the lives of those facing chronic homelessness and adversity in Melbourne. Our Welcome Relief Meals Program allows us to provide breakfast and lunch for up to 150 homeless community members a day,
By purchasing a gingerbread kit, gingerbread house, or chocolates, you will be supporting people experiencing chronic homelessness and disadvantage in Melbourne. Funds raised will go directly to the St Mary’s House of Welcome meals program, and to provide emergency support for those in need throughout Christmas and the New Year.
Items can also be picked up by arrangement - please contact us to organise a suitable date.
Please note that the pre-made gingerbread houses are available for pick up only.
Supporting People who are Homeless
St Mary’s House of Welcome is a not-for-profit open access centre in the heart of Melbourne providing basic essential services to people who are homeless and experiencing poverty, severe and persistent mental health issues, and those who are extremely isolated and socially marginalised.
St Mary’s House of Welcome’s open-door policy means that anyone who needs help can come to the centre for practical assistance. Whether it’s a meal, a shower and a change of clean clothes or other material aid, or more specialist support such as information, referral to access specialist services, legal support and emergency relief, at St Mary’s House of Welcome, we open our doors to those in need.
